Valley Computer Resources started in 1995 when founder John Johnson recognized a growing need for the use of computers in small businesses. As an accountant and computer enthusiast his idea was to offer computers and bookkeeping software to his business clients. He started in the waiting room of his accounting office. By the second year Valley Computers had sold over $500,000 and had to relocate t

o a larger facility in the Gateway Shopping Center. Twentysix years later Valley Computers has grown into a diverse operation that has customers throughout North Alabama and Tennessee. The journey to this point has included contract repair work major brands such as Dell and Hewlett Packard. In addition, we have had the pleasure of serving some of the Tennessee Valley’s most prestigious industrial companies as well as thousands of medium and small businesses, organizations and home computer users. The success of Valley Computers has always been driven by the employees and their uncompromising dedication to customer satisfaction. The staff has a diverse mix of skills and backgrounds which give Valley Computers a unique ability to assist the small business with database or networking problems as easily as the serious internet gaming competitor. To this day our ability to relate to the needs for the businesses in a unique and comprehensive way gives Valley Computer Resources an edge unsurpassed by any competitor in the area. Services include everything from computer system repairs and upgrades to network installations. We have some of the best capabilities anywhere for repairing damage done by spyware and viruses. Strategies for data protection and security along with highly successful data retrieval services have earned us the admiration of our customers throughout the Valley. We also continue to custom assemble quality systems ranging from the most basic small office or home system to rugged servers to meet the demands and budgets of businesses. More recently Valley Computer Resources has initiated uniquely new service that is in high demand and without equal in the area. Again, capitalizing on our sensitivity to business needs and recognizing a growing need for customers to have a superior level of computer reliability without the expense of a full time IT staff person we offer Preventive Maintenance Agreements. These are maintenance plans that stress prevention over repair and are fully customized to the exact requirements of each customer.

They are scammers that want to remote into your computer and steal your information and also charge you for removing the fake virus. Do not fall for this please. I circled in green the true message notification.

This was an amazing build today! I did a quick rough estimate on the parts. $9000! Enjoyed building this awesome machine. Took about 5 hours. Took my time and tried my best to make it the best. Also had 8 visitors/Friends hanging out while I built most of it today.

Everyone keep in mind we do build custom computers with a 3 year warranty. Most box stores only give a 1 year. I use good quality parts for our builds so I can offer a factory warranty of 3 years. Take a look at our reviews and pictures of some of our builds.

If you recently updated Windows and are noticing gaming instability, even with a high-end graphics card, the Windows 11 KB5074109 January update could be the culprit. Users have reported framerate drops, graphical artifacts, and black screens. Nvidia has suggested uninstalling the update as a temporary fix while the company investigates the problem.

The January 2026 security update is mandatory because it addresses 114 security vulnerabilities and fixes multiple issues, including battery drain on systems with NPUs. Despite its intended benefits, the update has caused more problems than it solved, leaving owners of GeForce graphics cards at a disadvantage.

I was able to straighten each pin on this CPU. Took about 2 hours and a good heat source at times. A couple of them were bin over flat. Worked great once I finished. Maybe a total of 8 to 12 pins. Hard to count.
