What’s worse, they have used this status to undermine human rights, stifle competition, distort our democracy, and abuse our personal data.

From Louisville to Minneapolis, no-knock raids have too often resulted in the deaths of innocent Black people. On Feb. 2, Minneapolis police murdered 22 year old Amir Locke during a no-knock warrant entry as he was sleeping on his couch.

It was later confirmed that Amir wasn't even the subject of the warrant. Amir’s death comes almost 2 years after Breonna Taylor was murdered during a no-knock raid she also was not the subject of.

Spotify has been called out for allowing Joe Rogan to spread COVID misinformation on their platform. Last week, we asked Spotify to either implement strict misinformation guidelines or get rid of Rogan altogether. Spotify did neither.

Instead, they announced that they will add a "content advisory to any podcast that includes a discussion about COVID-19." This does not address the dangerous misinformation being spread on their platform. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is pushing a bill that prohibits public schools and private businesses from making white people feel “discomfort” when they teach students or train employees about discrimination.

This bill and others that ban Critical Race Theory are eliminating Black history from K-12 education. This is a dangerous effort that suppresses and denies the experiences of Black and brown people in America.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer is retiring and President Biden has committed to appointing the first black woman to the Supreme Court. This is a commitment we need to hold him accountable to, but it's important to note that Justice Stephen Breyer was a liberal voice on a Supreme Court with a conservative majority. That means we need a progressive voice to replace him.

Biden should not only nominate a black woman — but a black woman with progressive values.
