FBA Splicing is looking to expand our workforce and have immediate openings for the following positions:

*Fiber Optic Cable Splicer
*NID Splicer

Job duties:
1. Perform fusion splicing of fiber optic cables, including terminating various types of connectors.
2. Install and prep fiber optic cables.
3. Reading splice diagrams and prints.
4. Splicing loose tube and ribbon cables.
5. OTDR testing and troubleshooting.
6. Maintain fiber inventory and records.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Willingness to learn and work as a team.
2. Overnight travel will be required.
3. Work schedule may include occasional nights and weekends.
4. Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50-70lbs regularly, ability to distinguish colors, the ability to see distances and focus on small close objects at 20 inches or less.
5. Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
6. A valid driver’s license and decent driving record.
7. Accurate hand-eye coordination.
8. Practice required safety regulations within OSHA and other related guidelines.
9. Regular use of provided safety equipment.
10. High School Diploma or equivalent.
