Thinking about getting your website done on Fiverr? Here is what it actually costs. šŸ‘‡

The "$5 website" is branding, not a price. Real web design gigs start around $10 for a template swap, $80 to $100 from an established seller, and $195 to $600 from a Vetted Pro. All starting prices, before mobile layout, extra pages and revisions get added.

And here is the part we will say out loud even though we sell websites: for a single landing page, a template customization, or testing an idea before you spend real money, Fiverr is a genuinely good call.

Where it goes wrong is when you need someone to decide WHAT to build. That thinking is not in a gig description at any price.

Then somebody tells you your website may violate the ADA. šŸ˜¬

Here is what catches owners off guard: accessibility failures are invisible to the person who owns the site. That form submits fine with a mouse and cannot be completed with a keyboard. That image looks great and tells a screen reader nothing.

The honest version, with the data: 95.9% of the top one million home pages had detectable WCAG failures in 2026, and the major site builders actually average FEWER errors than the web overall. The builder is not the villain. Nobody checking is.

Have you seen those ā€œFREE WEBSITEā€ and $100 website offers flooding business groups?

Cheap sounds good until nobody checks what that site could expose you to.

According to UsableNetā€™s July 2026 ADA lawsuit tracker, 401 website accessibility lawsuits were filed in a single month. Of those defendants, 113 were sued while already using a third party accessibility widget.

And according to the U.S. Department of Justice, Fashion Nova faced allegations that its website denied blind users equal access under the ADA. The proposed settlement set aside about $2.43 million for class members, while plaintiffs sought more than $2.52 million in attorneysā€™ fees and costs.

So before you grab that free, dirt cheap, template, or AI generated website, ask one question:

Who checked the accessibility?

Because that ā€œfreeā€ website could cost you a heck of a lot more.
