Back in 2012 I built a first version of this — a simple app to track "how screwed are we" based on doomsday chatter online.
Fast forward to now — introducing APPOCALYPSE 2026, the full reboot. It's an "Armageddon Forewarning System" that scrapes current affairs, prepper, survivalists and YouTube channels, runs it all through AI, and computes a real-time Threat Level using more data analysis than 2012-me could've dreamed of. Global threat map. 7-day trend line. An AI agent you can interrogate about current events. It's a genuinely different animal now.
Is it scientifically rigorous? No.
Is it a fun way to doomscroll with a dashboard? Also no — wait, yes.
Fair warning: it's in testing right now, so it might hiccup, go down, or get tweaked on the fly while I dial it in. Be patient with it.
Have fun with it. Don't be scared. But also... yeah, be scared. 😅
