The South of 6 Business District invites you to join us for the South of 6 Vendor Market at DreamFest on Saturday, August 29 from 12:00–6:00 PM at Dream City, 611 South Gate in Iowa City.

This is more than a vendor market — it’s an opportunity to come together, support the businesses and entrepreneurs that make the South of 6 community special, and enjoy an exciting day at DreamFest, hosted by Dream City.

Incoming passport destination… RSFIC!

RSFIC is an Iowa City-based organization that works to foster a sustainable and resilient community through grants, events and community-based efforts.

At DreamFest on Saturday, August 29th, RSFIC will offer information about its organization and space at 1927 Keokuk Street. Attendees can learn more about RSFIC and the work they do while exploring other businesses within the SO6 district.

For a chance to win prizes, visit RSFIC and take a tour of its space, where you can scan the QR code to sign up for the digital passport.

The South of Six Vendor Market is coming back, and this time, we’re teaming up with Dream City’s DreamFest on August 29th!

DreamFest is a celebration of fourteen years of impact and one year in their new home, and we’re honored to be part of a day that highlights so much growth, strength, and resilience. To learn more about DreamFest, check out Dream City .

We’re still reeling from the incredible success of the South of Six Vendor Market and Summer Social on July 25th! The district was buzzing as attendees explored vendors, discovered new favorites, and visited local businesses through our passport program. Every stop brought pride, connection, and a chance to win prizes along the way.

It was a beautiful day filled with community spirit you could practically feel. South of Six is rising, and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

Even with a few hiccups along the way, the team rallied, adapted, and delivered an event that showcased everything that makes the South of Six Business District so special. The day wasn’t just about vendors or activities, it was about proving, once again, the strength of a community that shows up for itself.

Co‑owned by Richard Burdine and Amar Sila, The Fade Factory is a multicultural barbershop rooted right here in the South of Six Iowa City Business District. But it’s more than a place to get a cut, it’s a space built on connection, confidence, and belonging.
