Stop sharing those messages! oh... and thank you ;)
Ok so all the messages going around, your getting them in your inbox and of course sharing them up because it's the right thing to do right? NO. It's not. Although there are some cloning (not technically) there is more of the sharing of these messages than the actual, well we'll call it cloning for now. A better explanation on my last post on this subject courtesy of Hoax Slayer. Now some of us are aware that Facebook has had a breech a while back. Here is what to do if you suspect your account has been compromised.
"If you worry that your account has been hacked, there is a simple way to check. Go to the arrow in the upper left-hand corner of your page and click on it. In the menu, select Settings. A new menu will pop up. Choose Security and then Where You're Logged In.
A list of all of the devices that you've logged into and their locations. If there is a login you don't recognize, chances are you may have been hacked. If you see anything that isn't you, click End Activity on the right side of the log to end the session. The hacker will be logged out temporarily.
Then be sure to change your password. It's a good practice to occasionally change your passwords on a regular basis anyway. Go to your installed appz and uninstall any that your not 100% sure are safe. Don't log in to other sites where they offer you to log in with Facebook... Or Google or any other account where you need to put in your credentials. There is a very real chance these sites are collecting your information... Ta da!
You can also be part of the solution: don't forward chain messages in Facebook - unless you first verify that the concern is legit with a simple Google search".

Now with the potential of your profile being copied. Yes technically it isn't cloned and here's what to do. Change your post settings to "Friends" for the default (you can change this on the fly if you wish with each individual post). Hide your friends list. This way if someone is trying to copy your account they can't see your friends list... ahem, unless it's a friend doing it. Don't simply add just anyone to your Facebook. Check out their profile. Friends in common? Message that person and ask about them. Have them look and see if the profile appears as they are used to.
