Ali Mubarak… A Young Man Whose Passion Began with an Online Game and Led Him to Found Tech Companies
Many young people believe that the path to success begins with a small idea and genuine passion. This is exactly what Ali Mubarak from Cairo has proven, as he managed to carve his own path early in the world of technology and build a distinguished career in the IT field.
Ali’s journey with technology began at an early age. He entered the IT field when he was only 16 years old. Not only did he focus on learning, but he also took the initiative to establish a company in the same field at that young age, taking his first professional steps driven by passion and a desire to innovate.
During his time in high school, Ali participated in several important technical competitions, most notably Intel ISEF, in the field of Network Security. There, he developed his first Minimum Viable Product (MVP) aimed at protecting networks from Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, which are among the most dangerous cyberattacks that target and disrupt online systems and services.
The project did not stop at the idea stage. Ali continued developing it and working on related technical projects in several countries, including the United States, Indonesia, and Italy, which gave him extensive practical experience in network security and advanced technologies.
Two years ago, he founded a company specializing in Digital Transformation, providing website solutions and in-house software for businesses, helping organizations modernize their systems and improve their technological efficiency.
Currently, Ali serves as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the first Arab platform that allows users to create websites without servers or DevOps work. The platform, CranL Technologies, is based in Saudi Arabia, where he contributed to building the platform’s technical infrastructure and developing the website itself.
Academically, Ali enrolled in the Information Systems program. However, he entered university already possessing significant technical experience, which helped him greatly in connecting theoretical knowledge with practical application.
Ali’s passion for technology actually started with something simple: an online game. His curiosity pushed him to understand what happens behind the scenes—how servers work and how players from different places can join the same virtual world and interact with each other over the internet. That curiosity eventually grew into a real passion that led him into programming and networking.
In a message to young people, Ali emphasizes that starting a project does not require large investments or major funding. What truly matters is taking the first step. He believes that if you have an idea, you should not wait for investors; instead, start working, researching, asking questions, and experimenting.
