Another year, another anniversary. We are astonished to be celebrating 12 years in this industry of creativity and technology. It seems like only a short time ago when it all began. Over the course of 626 weeks, 144 months, or 4,383 days (give or take) our adventures have taken us deep into our local community, and far across the United States. In this past year we have worked with clients ranging from local businesses and destinations to aerospace leaders and technology fims. The brands we've crafted, the digital platforms we've deployed, the media we've captured, and the success stories we've supported all remind us of how proud we are of the work we produce. We are so grateful to have the opportunity to use our craft every day - and to be able to share it with so many good people and causes. So, for all of you who have supported us, cheered us on, and helped spread the word about our work - this one goes out to you. Here's to the underdogs, here's to 12 years of giving them hell.

On the rare occasion when we get the chance to collaborate with friends, we like to go all in. When Chris approached us about his concept for a gravel bike rally, we knew it was an opportunity to break out of the box. After weeks of back and forth, we collectively came to the Gravhell Rally name, leading us down a twisty path to a visual identity unlike any other bike race we’ve had the pleasure to see. Gravhell is dark, gritty, and positions a challenge to those brave enough to enter. Coming to a trail near you.

When CB Cares Educational Foundation approached us, following some major changes in their organization, we were proud to support them in refreshing their branding to reflect their bright future. We helped the organization with a subtle name change, from CB Cares to BC Cares, to reflect the change in their focus, remove the association with a broken school board, and to maintain the recognition they have earned over the past two decades.

The logo system we developed was designed as a natural evolution of their legacy identity, playing off similar visual elements and colors while bringing a dynamic energy that it had been lacking. In addition, we created the design in a format to allow for easy theming to allow the organization to visually represent causes that are close to them and their audience.

Through the process we were also proud to roll these changes out to their program and event identities, starting with the iconic Pumpkinfest.

We look forward to all the good work to come from BC Cares in the community.

The journey with our friends at Bike Works has been long and winding, like any good bike ride. We reimagined their visual identity back in 2020 which yielded this badge system. Unlike other bike shops, they were keen to avoid the typical bike wheel and components. Instead, they asked us to lean into the experience, resulting in graphics that represent the view of the cyclist.

We all love a throwback. We worked with True Gents to create this custom emblem to complement their existing branding. With a set allowing for simplification for smaller or more complex mediums, they have been able to utilize the badge at their storefront, on their trucks, and on promotional materials.

Another recent brand exploration recently wrapped up with our friends at Total Skills. We came on to the project to help refresh a look that had become old and tired. As the organization expands its offerings and footprint, we wanted to be sure the solution could grow with them. Designed for a heavily digital space, the brand was still expected to shine in print, particularly in wearable swag and jerseys. The end outcome was a simple and bold mark with a badge system to leverage swag-ability. Our team led the design process seeing the update through brand guidelines, signage, a custom microsite, and a mascot.

We don’t do political logos. Let’s say it again for the people in the back - we don’t do political logos. However, there is always an exception to the rule. When Liz Sheehan, who we had collaborated with in the past, approached us about her campaign we agreed to hop in and lend a helping hand. Here are some of the concepts we explored on our adventure.

Union Coffee isn’t just a coffee shop. When Carolyn approached us to partner on this concept we couldn’t wait to dive in. Our team worked on a wide range of approaches, leveraging a look that would fit into the essence of Lambertville and provide the vibe that Union Coffee was hoping to set. The logo system we built has given them flexibility through a variety of layouts and color profiles and has become widely recognized by their loyal followers. Today Union Coffee is thriving and has become an incredible gathering space where acceptance and unity rule.

The Ambition Project approached us at their origin to bring a fresh look to their brand identity. Our team contributed to the brand strategy, messaging, custom logo design, brand guidelines, and a custom website to help launch the project to the public. Although Covid-19 impacted their efforts, we look forward to all the good to come from The Ambition Project.

Our work with ReByrth helped to define the platform’s visual identity and yielded a set of inclusive and welcoming illustrations. All of this created the system upon which the mobile app interface was designed. Our team was proud to contribute to this project which connects expectant clients of color who are looking for perinatal support with birth and postpartum specialists of color who are from the community in which they serve.

Today we're taking a moment to celebrate 11 years of creativity and persevering through a year that has provided as many challenges as opportunities. Our incredible team has stuck together and supported projects large, small, and community-focused at a pace and scale we have never before experienced. We remain incredibly grateful to our local clients and to those that span across the United States. Though we remain quiet in the social media world, our operations have been anything but quiet this past year. Our work has supported small, passionate businesses and nationwide leaders across industries that range from art and culture, aerospace, hospitality, and technology. We have deployed hundreds of creative solutions and impactful ideas to our clients and have stayed true to our mission of supporting our local community through volunteerism and good deeds. Our path forward is clear, and we are beyond excited to share some of the work we have been involved in, and are jumping into as 2022 progresses. Here's to the mighty underdogs.
