Broadband Customers Beware – A message from Dumont Telephone Company!

There is lots of talk today about Superboxes and/or vSeeBox. These video streaming devices are sold in stores and promise to provide an unbelievable number of free channels and content which is legal. The problem is most of the content is considered an unauthorized stream which is illegal. It has been confirmed that after these devices are connected to broadband, they are constantly communicating with other devices in Russia and China. If a product sounds too good to be true, there generally is something wrong.

All Dumont Telephone Company Broadband customers need to be aware of the following:
1) Dumont Telephone Company does not recommend these devices.
2) Dumont Telephone Company does not recommend connecting these devices to your broadband service.
3) Dumont Telephone Company does not provide any support on these devices.
4) Dumont Telephone Company is not responsible for security issues you may experience.
5) You as a user could face fines or legal action.
6) You as a user could experience termination of legitimate streaming accounts.
7) You as a user could have possible suspension of internet service.

DUMONT TELEPHONE MAINTENANCE NOTICE: We will be performing network maintenance early Wednesday morning (4/15) from 2:00 to 5:00 a.m. for all customers in our service territory. Customers will see a short outage, but services are expected to return immediately. If weather is too severe tonight, maintenance will move to Thursday morning (4/16).

Dumont Telephone Company has expanded our service area over the years. Thanks to our significant growth outside the office, we are now needing to add someone to our team! We are looking to fill a new CSR position with a personality that will fit our company culture. The position will include duties like answering inquiries for both telephone and front window, generating orders and trouble tickets, basic ledger/accounting entries and helping us be more efficient.
