We’ve been made aware of a scam where someone is calling customers while pretending to be Sonic.

Please remember:
👉 We will NEVER call you and ask for sensitive personal information such as passwords, full Social Security numbers, or payment details over the phone.
👉 If a call feels suspicious, hang up immediately.
👉 When in doubt, call us directly using our official phone number to verify.

Scammers can make calls look legitimate, even showing our name or number on your caller ID. Don’t trust the call—trust the source you contact yourself.

🔒 Protect yourself:
• Don’t give out personal or financial information to unexpected callers
• Be cautious of urgency or pressure tactics
• Verify before you trust

If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from Sonic, please let us know so we can continue to protect our customers.

Its that time of year again, we start to get calls about NEW streaming apps and services. This is one of those times if its too good to be true. It is..

If you find an app or streaming box that allow "FREE" Sports, Movies, etc.. that you would normally have to pay for.. ITS ILLEGAL. And most recently the Networks are really starting to clamp down on this type of piracy. We often get cease and desist orders from companies like Paramount and others that find a user using these services and by law we have to forward these to the customer, because in the end the user is violating copyright laws.

Many of these streams originate outside the US. places like India, Asia, and Russia. Where copyright laws dont exist or are not followed. So someone will rebroadcast NFL, NHL, NBA sporting events, or even movies still in the theaters, they get off a satelite dish or other means, and rebroadcast. How are they making money? Either by the initial price of the device you purchased, or advertising.

Users then get upset with the Internet provider becauase the stream "looks bad", or buffers. and there is nothing we can do to fix it. 1st its ILLEGAL, 2nd almost all these streams are coming from someone's basic home Internet connecting they are just trying to scam and make money on. SO PLEASE! look into the service you are looking at.

Field Service Technician -

General Summary

As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality installation, repair, and maintenance services for our telecommunications products and services. You will interact directly with customers, ensuring their satisfaction by resolving technical issues and providing exceptional support. Working collaboratively with a team, you will ensure that all towers are in good working condition, meet safety standards, and operate at maximum efficiency.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Performs installations, disconnects, reconnects, add-ons, changes, and troubleshooting of telephone and high-speed Internet services at customer locations.
Conducts thorough assessments and diagnose technical issues related to internet, video, and telephone services.
Works both outside and inside customer premises, regularly climbing ladders and working on rooftops.
Drives company truck between office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner, following all laws and company policies.
Interacts with customers in a professional and courteous manner, providing clear explanations of the features and functionality of installed products.
Completes basic performance testing and setup of installed services, including PC, Local Area Network, and Voice over Internet Protocol telephone equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction.
Promotes Sonic services to customers, generating new accounts, service upgrades, and additional service offerings.
Adheres to company procedures, policies, and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
Maintains accurate records of work orders, service updates, and customer interactions.
Works on regularly scheduled days as well as unscheduled days and/or beyond regular work hours due to customer or operational demands, as needed.
Adheres to all Company standard procedures, policies and safety practices in the course of performing work activities.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

Mon-Fri 9a-5p
Must be able to work 1 saturday a month average 5hr day, but paid full 8 hours, and day off during the week.

High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Valid state driver's license and acceptable driving record in accordance with the Company's Motor Vehicle Policy.
Excellent customer service, time management, and problem-solving skills.

Working knowledge of PC and MS Office products.
Ability to read and interpret technical information, such as repair manuals and parts books.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, climb ladders, and work on rooftops as necessary.

Flexibility to work on scheduled and unscheduled days, including beyond regular work hours, to meet customer and operational demands.

Willingness to travel and provide service within the assigned geographic area.

Starting - $18.25/hr

Retail isn't what it was just a few short years ago. Before COVID our downtown office was busy. But retail and the way business is done since 2020 has changed.

Its been a fun 8+ years to be part of Durand's downtown. watching the town grow and change. But we are moving all our offices and personnel to our Operations Facility at 509 Mulvain St Durand. This is just a move, no services or employees are changing. Only where they come to work!

For those still using payment drop box, we will be moving it to Mulvain before the end of the month to make room for 2 new business opening up in our town's square. Be watching for their posts soon of Grand Openings.
