SMT was proud to play a major part in the Stanley Cup Final, driving innovations that enhanced the viewer experience in new ways.

One of the biggest additions this year was ESPN’s first-ever NHL SkyCast presentation, powered by SMT’s OPTICS system.

We added several new features to the system, customizing our graphics package to provide a look not yet seen on live NHL broadcasts.

The presentation combined four dedicated camera angles with real-time PPT-driven features, including a constant puck trail, player possession IDs, line change indicators, shift time IDs, and faceoff matchups. We also shifted our traditional player ID graphics to a more 3D design to enhance the "above the ice" video game-like viewing experience.

Sunday’s NASCAR on Prime Video post-race show had fans raving as driver Brad Keselowski joined the booth to break down Christopher Bell’s fuel strategy during the final stage at Pocono.

Using a broadcast analytics tool provided by SMT, Keselowski gave fans a rare look at the same fuel and performance data drivers and teams use every week, translating complex metrics into insights fans couldn’t get enough of.

At a technical track like Pocono, where every corner demands a different approach, the analysis brought viewers closer to the strategy side of the sport than ever before. ⬇️

What a night, and what a season! 🏆🏒

We can't shout out our team enough for all the hard work and long hours they've put in throughout the year, from preseason preparation all the way to the Stanley Cup Final which ended with a Game 6 Canes win last night in Vegas.

Now it's time for a well-earned break for everyone who played a part in our hockey projects this season before turning the page and building on that success for next year. 👏

Congratulations to the Carolina Hurricanes!

The biggest stage in women’s golf deserves the best support behind the scenes ⛳

Last weekend, SMT was proud to serve the U.S. Women's Open in Pacific Palisades, elevating the fan experience at the oldest championship on the LPGA Tour.

We focused on bringing the action to life through on-course visuals with our Monsterboard display and spectator boards, while our support services like TIPS TV and on-course tracking kept the tournament running smoothly.

Our technology ensures that whether spectators are walking the course or relaxing in a fan zone, they don’t miss a single shot! 🏌

Introducing the Burn Bar: 's newest broadcast feature 🏁

A new way to visualize one of racing's most critical—and often overlooked—strategic elements: fuel management.

Powered by SMT's GEMStat and GEMLive systems, the Burn Bar uses real-time PAVE data to calculate each driver's fuel consumption throughout the race. By analyzing miles-per-gallon metrics, the graphic shows whether a driver is aggressively using fuel or conserving it, giving viewers deeper insight into pit strategy and race management.

The Burn Bar made its debut during last week's Prime coverage, highlighting pivotal moments in Nashville. Watch for it during today's race at 2pm ET. 📺
