..A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM MDT
FOR NORTHEASTERN KIOWA COUNTY...

At 733 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles northeast of Cheyenne Wells to 6 miles north
of Sheridan Lake to near Brandon, moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Sheridan Lake, Chivington, Brandon, and Towner.

* At 551 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles south of John Martin Reservoir to 21 miles west of Two Buttes Reservoir to 10 miles northwest of Pritchett, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail.

* At 503 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
