Tech Tip: “My Computer Is Slow…”
This is one of the most common calls our techs get.
Someone says their computer is running painfully slow.

43 browser tabs.
Email, Teams, spreadsheets, and three things no one remembers opening.
I’ll be the first to admit… I’m personally guilty of this one. Our team lectures me about it all the time.
Here’s the tip:
Computers, like people, don’t multitask well when everything is running at once.
If your machine is slowing down:
• Close programs you’re not using
• Reduce the number of browser tabs open
• Restart your computer occasionally
You’d be amazed how much faster things run.
Sometimes the fix isn’t new hardware.
It’s just closing a few tabs.

Tech Tip from our team this week.
If you are 100 percent sure your password is correct, but the system keeps rejecting it, do this:
Open Notepad.
Type the password there first.
You would be shocked how often this catches:
• Accidental spaces
• Caps Lock
• Wrong keyboard layout
• Autofill glitches
It feels simple and silly. It saves time. It prevents unnecessary resets.
Sometimes the fix is not complex. It is just hidden in plain sight.

Here’s what we tell clients to look for when choosing an IT partner. Not a vendor. A partner.

𝟭. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲
You shouldn’t have to log into a portal or submit a ticket and hope for the best. If your systems are down, you need a human. Fast.

𝟮. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻
Tech talk is very complicated. Your IT partner should explain it clearly, without all the jargon.

𝟯. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 “m𝗼𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿”
A blinking dashboard isn’t enough. Ask what tools they’re using and what actions they take when a threat’s detected.

𝟰. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝘀, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺
True managed services mean proactive maintenance. Regular patching, backup testing, and cyber audits. The boring stuff that stops disasters before they happen.

𝟱. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁
There should be no surprises with your price. Look for fixed monthly fees that include real protection.

AI is not a strategy. It’s a tool.

When it’s used well, it saves time. When it’s used poorly, it creates lots of risk.

Renewals are no longer a formality. Carriers want proof of MFA, patch policies, response plans, and real employee training. That phishing test from 2020 isn’t going to cut it.

𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗱𝗼𝘄 𝗜𝗧 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘂𝗽𝘀
Teams download these “free tools” to make work easier, but no one approves them. Now that sensitive data is sitting in these apps that no one is managing or even knows about.
