International Repair Day is coming up, on Saturday, October 17th!

We've got another new case review published today. And... no, it's not the same case again. But it is the partner case to the previous one! Yesterday we posted our review of Classy's case, the Gamdias Aura GC11 Wood; today it's Flashy's case, the MONTECH TG3!

This part we did plan out. We got two brand new $60 cases with drastically different vibes and planned to review them mostly as a comparison to eachother. The Flashy and Classy Double Trouble builds (https://www.eagleriverelectronics.com/gaming .qg0yrvrkzotj). That plan didn't exactly pan out, as Classy's case became more of a comparison to the GC2 and the Cypress 5, but the intent remains.

This is the case that went into the Flashy side, and we did not know anything about it. We try to remain optimistic but neutral when doing something like a case review, going into it blind with nothing but the Amazon listing or such for info, so it's genuinely a shock that we like this case better than any other case we have ever reviewed and place it at the very top of the leaderboard!

Okay, where to start. How about this: If you're considering a PC case, and this one works for your needs (size/style/support), BUY THIS CASE!

Wow! This case is our very first full 5 star review. This would get a bonus star, if I was one for flouting the system.

As far as pros, the major points are so much I had to overflow them into the cons column! Never have I ever done that before. And the few cons I can say about this are so very minor that they're not worth taking any points away. But I'm getting ahead of myself.

We've got another new case review published today. And... you might not believe this, but it's the exact same case. Again!

Didn't plan this out. Totally by accident. We've ordered several new cases in the budget market lately. A few for building budget PC builds (https://www.eagleriverelectronics.com/gaming .xhyklhqixegx), and a couple for the Flashy v Classy Double Trouble build (https://www.eagleriverelectronics.com/gaming .qg0yrvrkzotj).

This is the case that went into the Classy side, and we did not know until we built in it that it's the same case as both the Rosewill GC2 that we most recently reviewed, and the Okinos Cypress 5 that we reviewed a while back.

This is another budget $60 case. The general design and feel is about halfway between the two above cases. But, unlike the Rosewill, Gamdias really didn't cheap out on the small bits. Overall, it's much closer in quality and value to the Cypress 5.

The coincidence is funny, but the case is a good one. Very happy with it overall, even if we're befuddled a bit by the coincidence and timing of it all. Don't worry, our next review (The Montech TC3 from the Flashy half of Double Trouble) is wholly different! Look for it soon.

We've got another new case review on the shelf today! And... it's only now I'm noticing I haven't updated the page lately. I am terrible at online marketing. 😅

Today we're reviewing the Rosewill GC2 case. Rosewill is an older brand that is Newegg's white label brand. They started over 20 years ago as a great budget brand delivery high quality and amazing value. Unfortunately, Newegg has gone downhill into "only caring about profit" territory in the last decade, and it looks like they took Rosewill with them.

The Rosewill GC2 is a standard ATX PC case. Offering full build support, enough physical space for the vast majority of components, has great cable management options, and is a simple, classic plain black style.

Unfortunately, during the course of reviewing this case we discovered this was just a much cheaper rebrand of another case we've used. Which would be fine, but it's /all/ cheaper components while charging the same price. Really, it's not there in the value, unless you specifically are seeking a plain black vibe.
