One of our customers' fiber lines was damaged for the third time this week by careless digging.

The cable was pulled out of the ground next to the handhole. When a fiber line is broken, businesses and residents on that line lose service. A real frustration that could have been easily prevented.

One phone call saves so much time and trouble. In New Jersey, it's the law, and it's free.

• Call 811 (New Jersey One Call) at least 3 full business days before you start
• Start digging within 10 business days of your request
• Hand dig within the tolerance zone around the marks
• If the job runs long or the marks are gone, call again
