Announcing my first art show(!) So honored and grateful to have been selected to participate in the sponsored art series taking place in Easthampton this spring. My work will be up for the month of May in the ECA Gallery exhibition space, located in the historic Old Town Hall building in downtown Easthampton, MA. There will also be an official opening on Thursday, May 11th. My show will be just one part of the larger Art Walk which will include music, food and drink. Come on down, it will be super fun :)
Here’s some artsy lingo about the work:
The work explores material contrast, experimentation in fabrication and fastening techniques, and tension. The pieces are each unique inventions designed to strike a balance between naturalistic forces of fluid flow and mechanics – and the human hand, eye and aesthetic. With a background in algorithmic digital art and an early training in structural geology, my work is a merging of these experiences in a life-long exploration of form and geometry. I’m particularly interested in deformation and fluid dynamics, and the work is inspired by these natural processes.
