My mornings in this office are dwindling down and boy is that bittersweet š¤ For the last 5.5 years, Iāve worked out of this office which was really the one bedroom in our apartment. So whereās our bedroom??? In the living room š Our living quarters are TIGHT here and we have insanely grown out of this space. While I am so very excited to be moving into a bigger apartment that is much more suited for two adults and two dogs, change is always intimidating. This tiny office (now turned partial storage unit) has seen so much over the last 5.5 years. Julia Kay Design rebrands, website redesigns, thousands of printed envelopes, hundreds of wedding invite boxes packed up, in-office brand photo shoots, two dogs fighting over 1 chair, more content videos recorded than I know what to do with, more ideas come to surface than I know what to do with, new business ventures, wedding planning, a new puppy, a thriving pothos and monsterra plant, boxes piled in every corner, celebrations when I reached my goals, and tears and breakdowns when they felt eternities away.
Every morning I wake up excited to take my coffee into this room and sit for 6+ hours. Itās a place where I feel productive, creative, energized, excited, stimulated, in control, useful, protected⦠itās a place where some of my best work has been brought to life.
This office, although tiny and cluttered and way over grown, is one of my favorite places on the planet š„¹ And now Iām crying happy Friday!!!
