We partnered with .villages to reimagine their brand—one that reflects their mission to build regenerative, community-centered places that honor both people and planet. Their goal was to modernize the brand while staying true to their roots and planning for the next 20 years to come. We worked with them to refine their messaging, rebuild their identity, including logos, colors, font palette and collateral. After a refreshing holiday break, we’re thrilled to share another project from 2024: . Collaborating with Populus, Aparium, and Urban Villages, we developed the name and identity for this vibrant rooftop destination in Denver.

“Stellar Jay” reflects a journey through the iconic building, from forest floor to canopy, channeling the celestial rooftop energy of the evening and the bold spirit of Colorado’s native Steller Jay bird.

The brand captures the duality of the night sky’s vastness and the intricate beauty of a Stellar Jay’s wing. It embodies the rhythm and contrast of bird murmurations, fire sparks, and the sweeping grandeur of the Milky Way. Through a mix of bird-inspired imagery, dynamic typography, and deep sky tones with vivid accents, the design invites exploration of the cosmic and the familiar—encouraging us all to look both upward and inward.
