Tax pros: If anyone is saying:
"I'm struggling to find clients now that tax season ends."
We need to fix that.
How?
Five ways, don't delay. Do this right now, right now:
1) Start your own YouTube channel. Let's the algo work for you. Set it and forget it.
2) Start charging for Transcript review. I've personally answered 245 individual REDDIT posts since 4/15. All about one thing: transcripts, what's this code on my transcript mean, 843, 571, 970, 971, 811, 846, 150, and the list she goes on and on.
And, dozens more on FB.
What does this tell you?
I bet you're first though is:
Those REDDIT posts are from folks who cannot afford professional help. Almost right. Mostly they are but many, I mean many, have gotten professional (licensed tax pro) help and it has failed them.
They need experts available who they can answer these questions specifically related to transcript review. You can offer that to them today, free or, for a small fee.
3) Embed a fun tax tool or tax education game on your website. I have seen 100s of tax pro websites. Guess what, they are boring, yawn-nation. I-can't-wait-to-get-off-this-site boring.
We don't want that. We want engagement.
Instead replace those calculators with fun, engaging games all related to tax topics, tips. Something they can interact with while improving their understanding of taxes.
The idea is add the magazine-in-the-vistors-area feel to your website. Until your client is seen to your office for their appointment, give them something that peaks their attention and leaves them with something helpful to think about.
You get the idea.
4) Kwong claim. I just realized this I should have placed at the beginning.
Offer this free or for a small free.
Ask yourself? Do I have clients that I served with tax services during the years of 2020 - 2023? If this is a yes, guess what, you just paid yourself. Reach out them immediately but before you do, do your research so you answer any questions they will have on the call. Tell them to lock in their protective claim.
(I know I did. 100s, they just were not my clients, sad face).
Anyways, review your client list and start offering this service.
5) Make your website stand above the rest. Connect with web developers. That's right. Do not design your website yourself. You will always want to tweak it. You may forget a link. Something breaks and you'll have no idea why.
This is not serving you, nor the 100s of site visitors (and, revenue opportunities) who bounced because of all the aforementioned reasons. Trust me. I did not launch 11 sites without at least a $500 investment and 100 of hours. If you can't afford that investment nor (more importantly, the time), hire help. Save yourself and the leaking prospects that could have turned into clients.
All set? Now, go. Today, right now.
I have so much more to share in my wiggly-giggly way. But that is how it comes out. Pure and AI-free.
