🎰 Brad found the Best Friend slot machine. It did not love him back.

🎤 Roy Choi was at Genius World in Las Vegas this week. The chef who put Korean barbecue in a taco and turned Kogi BBQ into a movement, on stage talking about grit, instinct and what it really takes to grow a restaurant.

🚚 The Kogi trucks in LA are our customers, which made watching him up there even better.

🍜 Then dinner at Best Friend in Park MGM. Every plate. Still thinking about it.

📍 Sun City Summerlin, Las Vegas. Santina's New York Pizzeria is on Genius. It started at a Genius Day and took a year and a half of follow-up from the Global Payments team in Nevada.

🌴 That's a wrap on the California Restaurant Show.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who came through Booth 513 over the three days in Anaheim — the operators who showed up with hard questions, and the ones who just wanted to find out whether the handheld really is that quick.

🖥️ Genius by Global Payments did most of the talking. Tableside ordering and payment, kitchen and table management, online ordering, loyalty and reporting, all in one place.

🤝 The clearest thing we heard all week: operators are done running four systems that don't speak to each other.

🙌 If we talked and you want to pick it back up — or you missed us entirely — POS Specialists is easy to find. Same people who were standing at the booth.

⚡ Some jobs come with a comfortable runway. This one came with a phone call and a deadline.

📍 Sun City Summerlin, Las Vegas. Hank and Santina opened Santina's New York Pizzeria in June 2023 after years in other people's kitchens. Hand-thrown dough, scratch sauces, and a vegan menu that isn't an afterthought.

🖥️ They're on Genius now, built by Global Payments. Counter, bar and kitchen on one system, with the latest hardware on the line.

🤝 Turning it around fast is the part we're quietly proud of. POS Specialists pulled out all the stops, and our Global Payments crew moved just as quickly.
