All day, we build brands. After hours, we’re apparently still building things. Mostly community. Occasionally, a very loud basketball fan section.

We’re Bridget and Jessica, the humans behind Creative Fish Studio. And while we spend our workdays helping our clients bring their brands to life, we put plenty of heart into building lives of our own.

In Portland, Bridget’s world includes her son’s school PTA, Montavilla Business Association, and jiu-jitsu mom duties. She’s also a Portland Fire season ticket holder AND makes all the shirts for the Fire Pit fan section. Because some people cheer for their team. Bridget outfits the cheering section.

In Hermosa Beach, Jessica runs The Studio and Not Shockboxx, serves on the board of Leadership Hermosa Beach and has spent years supporting the Hermosa Beach Chamber. She (and her wife Ashley) were also recently featured in Southbay Magazine, which was a pretty lovely excuse to pause and appreciate all that community building.

Different cities. Full calendars. A shared tendency to say, “Wait, I have an idea.”

We love being out in our communities, meeting people, giving back and finding inspiration in places that don’t come with a login. Art shows. School events. Live music. Courtside.

Those experiences shape who we are and what we bring to our clients: curiosity, connection and a whole lot of care.

Our own lives might be the longest-running creative projects we’ve got. Still building. Still showing up. Probably making a shirt for it.

“Can you just whip something up really quick?”

Here’s what your designer friend hears: Can you pause paid client work, think through my problem, make something you’re proud to put your name on, revise it and package the files…as a favor?

The truth is, we often say yes. We love the challenge. We love our people. We believe in giving back.

But if a creative gives you their time, give a little love back. Leave a review. Make an introduction. Share their name in a room they aren’t in. Like the post. Add a real comment. Tell someone who made the thing you loved.

All free. All meaningful.

That’s love we love.

Our rates are changing in 2027, and we’re giving you a chance to secure a package of creative hours at our 2026 rates before they do.
Already a client? We’ll honor the hourly rate on your last invoice. New here? You’re invited, too! Reach out and we’ll get you started at our current rates.

• Minimum purchase: 20 hours
• Your purchased hours never expire

We’re keeping the increase reasonable. In 2027, we’ll also introduce separate rates for different areas of expertise, so pricing better reflects the work involved and helps us keep delivering the thoughtful strategy, design and creative support your business deserves.

AI can generate an image that looks like a logo. That doesn't mean it made you a usable logo.

A real identity needs editable vector files, clean geometry, intentional typography, defined colors, alternate lockups and enough flexibility to survive everything from an Instagram avatar to a storefront sign.

That flat little PNG may look fine on your screen (ew). Your printer is still going to kick you square in the n**s when you hand it over and ask for a ten-foot banner.

Use AI to explore a mood or spark an idea. Use a designer (us!) to build an identity that can actually do its job.

Already attached to your AI concept? We can help turn the idea into a real, production-ready system. But please stop using Ai to replace artists... seriously.

Facebook is dead. Blogs are dead. Websites are dead.

Sure. And somehow everyone is still online.

The problem isn’t that every channel stopped working. The problem is that audiences are overstimulated, overserved and very good at ignoring anything that wasn’t made for them.

The brands people remember aren’t necessarily the loudest. They’re the ones that know exactly who they’re speaking to, understand what that person needs and communicate like an actual human.

Stop trying to reach everyone. Narrow the audience. Speak their language. Show them what you can do for them. Build a relationship.

Platforms change. TRUST is still the strategy.
