Just got this email from Dell:
Customer Advisory Regarding Intel CPU Instability – BIOS Update
(Dell Technologies Internal Reference ID – Dell Technologies ET005249)
Certain Dell/Alienware Desktop Systems, built with a 13th/14th generation Intel processor, may encounter instability symptoms. Dell Technologies is recommending an immediate upgrade to the latest BIOS to maintain optimal system performance and to avoid experiencing this issue.
Although you may not have encountered the issue described in this Customer Advisory, Dell Technologies strongly recommends that you perform the suggested upgrade as soon as possible.
Implementation Procedure
One or more of your Dell Technologies System(s) may be affected by this issue.
Please locate the latest BIOS using the recommended method below:
• Browse to the Dell Drivers & Downloads Page (https://www.dell.com/support)
• Enter Service Tag
• Click on Drivers & Downloads Tab
• Under Category, Select BIOS
• Locate the latest System BIOS Update (published 5/2 or later)
• Click Download and Save the File to Your Computer
• Open File Explorer and Browse to the Location where You Saved the File
• Double-Click the BIOS Setup File and Follow the On-Screen Instructions to Complete the Installation Process
