Recognition Robotics

Recognition Robotics Recognition Robotics is an independent company producing category-shifting visual recognition technology that defines future manufacturing.

Founded in 2008, Recognition Robotics is an independent company producing category-shifting visual recognition technology that completely redefines the way manufacturing is perceived. With a growing list of patented technologies, Recognition Robotics is the high-value provider of breakthrough, user-friendly productivity enhancements that increase the production and profitability of any automated l

ine or process. Recognition Robotics’ breakthrough visual recognition technology learns, recognizes and locates objects just like humans do. This goes far beyond typical “machine vision” applications. It is true hand-eye coordination that can distinguish between thousands of unique objects, two-and three-dimensional shapes and dramatically similar parts with precision and speed, regardless of orientation. Recognition Robotics has a host of products revolutionizing the automotive and aerospace industries. For automotive manufacturers, our CortexRecognition® technology paired with our Robeye® and RAIO® products upgrade almost any automotive production process for your most efficient, autonomous workforce ever. For the aerospace industry, the same holds true. When matched up with our Lucana Aero visual guidance system, you can automate your airframe drilling and fastening process. The fact is, any industry can benefit from the automation solutions that Recognition Robotics has to offer. Let us prove it to you. Excess downtime and labor costs are significant factors in the
profitability of an automotive plant. Discover how a reduction in these costs can save your plant money.

Every automotive manufacturing plant strives to build as many units as possible in the least amount of time required. After all, having product to sell is necessary to create profits. The more product you have, the more revenue you can yield.

Choosing the right robot for your assembly line's needs is important, but pairing it with the proper robotic visual guidance technology creates the most efficient solution. As these technologies advance, the next step is creating robotic guidance systems that are able to move about the plant to perform designated tasks.

When industrial robots were introduced to manufacturing lines, they promised to perform routine tasks at a consistent speed. The idea was that robots would increase production output and shorten lead time by making production processes faster, more accurate and more predictable.

Every plant manager knows that any time a production line is inactive, a loss in profit is a direct result. When performing a line changeover, the line is down for a period of time to switch out the objects, and stays down even longer to set up new vision systems and perform recalibration on the robots. With Recognition Robotics, our visual guidance systems are able to be reused on different robots and can be taught new tasks without CAD and time-consuming coding.

As a manufacturer, you incur a cost in downtime during line changeovers. Some estimates of a typical changeover can costs hundreds of thousands of dollars.
