I get a lot of questions about how my logo design process works, so I’ll give you the run down using a real client and the actual conversion to arrive at the final design.

First, we start off with a conversation about their business, their vision, and desired aesthetic (colors, imagery, etc.), where at the same time I’m getting to to know them and their vibe.

Second, they choose from either a logo package with 4 or 6 design comps OR if they want to just pay an hourly rate (this is only more cost effective for people who know EXACTLY what they want, which is maybe 10% of my clients) and pay the deposit for whichever method you’ve chosen.

Third, I go to work creating 4/6 design comps that I believe represent what they are looking for based on our conversation and then I send them off for review.

Fourth, the feedback:
💚GYC: I hope you love these!? If you want to switch colors, fonts, bees, flowers, etc on any of them that is part of what you paid for 🙂 *attached is the first image with 4 designs
💛SBE: I love pieces of all of them. I love the black, white and yellow colors. I love the font for Beeutiful I’m the purple. Can we try that font on the yellow Beeutiful in the first one? Can we also try the round logo in place of the bee and daisy in the first one? I also love the flower in the 4th one, could they be yellow?
💚GYC: Yes of course! A couple of questions.
1) do you want both of the fonts from the purple logo or just the beeutiful font?
2) do you want me to try it two different ways? One with the circle then one with the flower?
💛SBE: Great questions. I think just the font of the Beeutiful from the purple logo as the Beeutiful in the yellow logo. Number two can you try it both ways one with a circle logo with a Bee in it and one with the flower from the blue one but with that flower being yellow if possible? I definitely still want to incorporate a bee with a second flower If possible? It’s definitely a hard decision and I just love pieces in all of them so much it makes it hard to choose!
💚GYC: Haha well that’s a good problem to have!
💛SBE: I guess it is! You did a great job and I just want to combine them all!

Fifth, I send back requested revisions (based on which logo package you choose dictates the amount of 'major' revisions you get). *Attached is the second image with two deigns
💚GYC: Were these edits what you were trying to describe?
💛SBE: Yes! Exactly what I was describing. And I love them! I want to go with the second one with the circular bee logo. How does it work now, do you send me some files with the logo?
💚GYC: Yep! I’ll send you an invoice for the balance and once that’s paid I’ll send you an email that has your files in EPS., PDF., JPEG., PNG. formats as well as the breaks for the colors and the names/links to the fonts. 🙂 *third image is the final logo design
