The very first video I ever recorded of myself doing embroidery.

Just me hooping a sweatshirt and putting it on my machine. I had no idea that less than a year later, I’d be sharing so much of my embroidery journey with thousands of y’all.

Hubby told me to wait until he got off work so he could put my new table together… clearly, I did not wait. 💁‍♀️ I put the whole thing together myself, and I LOVE it! This is actually my second one of these adjustable tables. My first one holds my laser, and this one will be home to my new heat press. 🙌🏼🤍

I love that I can adjust the height depending on what I’m working on. Slowly but surely, my workspace is coming together exactly how I need it!

Sorry, love… I just couldn’t wait. 😘

It’s Friday, y’all! 🎉 We made it to the end of the work week! I’m taking it a little easier today. But before I get going, I want to hear from y’all! 🩷

What was your hiccup this week? What did you struggle with or mess up? And were you able to fix it? Or did it just completely ruin your day? 🫣

Mine was this 3T sweatshirt. I am SO proud of how it turned out, but this little thing gave me a run for my money! I hooped it wrong, it got out of alignment, stitches went everywhere they weren’t supposed to, and I ended up having to completely rehoop it without a hooping station... which I had NEVER done before.

But I figured it out & got it finished, and now look at it! 🥹 I’m so proud of this little sweatshirt I don’t even want to give it to the customer. 😂

The little 3T sweatshirt that almost took me OUT. 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ Y’all… I really thought this was going to be one of those quick, easy orders. Hoop it, stitch it, done. NOPE... not at all.

I bought an 8x9 Mighty Hoop specifically for this order, but I don’t have a toddler/youth hooping station. So I thought, I’ll just hoop it without one. Well… I hooped it. Unhooped it. Hooped it again. And again. 🫠 Then I loaded the sweatshirt onto my machine the wrong way... with the neck going toward the machine instead of loading it from the bottom with the neck facing me. The garment ended up getting pulled, and my stitching shifted out of alignment.

I tried FIVE TIMES to get everything lined back up before I finally said, Nope. We’re starting over. 😭 So I took it off the machine, removed ALLLL those stitches, rehooped it, and started completely over.

By then it was around 12:30 at night. I told myself I should just go to bed and finish it in the morning… but y’all know me. 💁‍♀️ I wanted it DONE. And LOOK AT HER. 😍 I am SO proud of this little sweatshirt! After all that trouble, she turned out adorable. And I learned a few things along the way... which is just part of running a business and learning your machines.

Sometimes the orders you think will be the easiest are the ones that humble you the quickest. But goodness, that finished product makes it worth it! 🦁🤍

Hooping a 3-4t sweatshirt WITHOUT a hooping station… 😅

Y’all, I have never hooped one this small without a station before, and let me tell you... it was NOT easy. 😂 But that smile at the end when I finally got it… I was so proud of myself! 🙌🏻 I definitely need to order a smaller hooping station. Now I just have to decide… toddler or youth? 🤔 I don’t normally offer toddler sizes, but this little 3T/4T sweatshirt definitely felt more toddler sized to me.

Which one would y’all get?

Y’all, this is what homeschooling, running an embroidery business, and trying to keep up with a home REALLY looks like. 😂💗

We woke up late, I got the girls started with homeschool, remembered I had a grocery pickup, fed them sushi for breakfast because… why not? 😂🍣 Then I thought I’d quickly tackle some vacation laundry before finally getting into my embroidery room. QUICKLY. 😂

Y’all, there was sand EVERYWHERE. In the pockets, in every little crease, all over my laundry room floor. And then you can hear my baby girl in the background say, “I’m sorry we got in the sand.” 🥹💗

My baby should NEVER have to apologize for that. They were just making memories. Mama will clean up the sand. 💗

Before I knew it, it was already 2 PM and I still hadn’t started my embroidery orders. This is my life now, y’all. Homeschooling my girls, running my embroidery business, taking care of our home, doing the laundry, getting the groceries and figuring it all out as I go.

Is it always easy? Nope. 🙃 Does every day go according to plan? Definitely not. 😂 But this is the life I prayed for. 🥹💗 And even on the crazy days, I’m so grateful I get to live it.

Today’s #1 priority is getting a 3T sweatshirt finished and out the door, but first… mama has to get ready, get my girls up and going, and get everything powered on for the day.

Then it’s time to get to work! I’m also moving some things around in my embroidery room today, including finding a new home for my laser, so I’ll bring y’all along for that too.

Just another morning of balancing homeschool, being a mama, and running my business from home.

📣 Y’all, I officially have a subscriber option on my page!! 🤍 I’ve had SO many people ask me if I offer training, if I can make tutorials, or if I can make a video showing exactly how I do certain things.

And y'all, I completely understand why y’all ask! But creating detailed tutorials and walking someone through something from beginning to end takes time, especially while I’m also trying to run my business and get orders out.

And something else y’all don’t always see is how much trial and error goes on behind the scenes. I spend money. I waste materials. I mess up. I try again. I change settings. I mess up AGAIN. 🫣😂 I figure out what didn’t work, what went wrong, how I fixed it, and eventually, what did work. So I’ve decided that’s the kind of information I want to start sharing with my subscribers. 🤍

Subscribers are going to get more of the detailed stuff. What worked for me, what didn’t work for me, what I did wrong, what I changed, and how I finally got something to work. There may be videos where I take you from beginning to end and show you how I personally do things like appliqué, puff embroidery, how I hoop a hat, how I stitch out a hat, my laser settings for certain materials, and so much more.
