How it started vs. how it's going 😜

Fun fact: Task Master was the very first app I ever designed in my course. Task Master is a productivity app where you can stay on top of your schedule & calendar while sharing and adding your friends and family!

I thought it would be fun to show the progression of designing an app. It starts with just classic pen & paper, then digitizing, and then finalizing. There were clearly many changes made throughout that process (especially with me being so new at it, yikes).

Happy Friday!!

This is an app I designed called "RecipEase". It's a responsive app meaning it was created to be functional on multiple screen sizes. For those that know me know that cooking & baking is one of my passions in life - so this app was actually really fun for me to work on. I always wish there was an app out there where I could type in ingredients that I have and it would curate recipes for me. This is what I came up with!

Let's Plan It! Is a native mobile app I created. It is a party planning app made for both the iOS and Android platforms. This was one of the first apps I created where I truly felt comfortable with UI design and let my creative side go wild. I would love to develop this app someday! 😎

A bit of a life update ‼️

What the heck is “UI design?” Probably what most of you are asking! UI design is basically designing the aesthetic of a product. Whether that be a mobile app, website, software, etc. As long as it’s digital I can design it!Since December 1, 2021, I’ve been taking an online course to be a certified UI designer. While I’m still working on fully completing it (learning how to code isn’t the simplest thing I’ve ever done) 😵‍💫 I want to start showing what I’ve been working on these past 8 months! Pretty soon I will have an active website that will have my full portfolio on it fully coded by me!! Those words still seem like a far fetched dream to me, but we’re getting there 🫠 Until then, most of my time is devoted to powering through the end of this course and my sweet 9 month old baby 💕

PS- this is one of my apps I created called, “Pocket That”. It’s a money-saving mobile app that is essentially like having a financial advisor in your pocket. Need to save some extra $$ for a wedding? Future trip? This is what I came up with! I also created an advertisement for the website version of the app (the first image you see).

PSS- a HUGE shoutout to my husband, . None of this would have happened without him. His never ending support, encouragement, and help with coding (yes, he is a much better coder than I am) has really gotten me through some tough days. Not to mention all of his hard work has allowed me to be able to stay home with our baby and take on this new journey in life. Thank you for being my rock. I love you endlessly. Always ♥️
