Hey all, sorry for my absence, wrapping up summer made time go by so fast! I can't believe we are wrapping up summer already! But stay tuned, I'll have more content and more helpful advice for technology coming your way soon!
But, first, on a personal note, see my letter to my friends and family below!
Hello my friends!
As you know, when Janelle was just one year old, she was diagnosed with AML on November 18, 2012 and passed away from complications from AML on December 10, 2012.
When she was diagnosed, we knew the chances for survival were low. The statistics were grim at that time for Infant Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Survival rate was less than 15% if I remember correctly.
After Janelle passed and we started fundraising for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, I learned one of the saddest, most scary statistics. No one had studied any alternative treatments for AML in over 40 years. Because there are some many variations of AML, the money making pharmaceutical companies and other sponsored research teams, knew there wasn't just one pill or just one treatment that would cure AML.
LLS put an end to that! They are studying all the variations and have already had alternative treatments that are more effective and less harsh approved! They are making great strides!
Our goal, for raising money in memory of Janelle, is to help other families not lose their children to such a tragic illness.

This year, the Erie Event is a Virtual Event, but I would still like to get the Hugs for Janelle team and supporters together. The event is November 15, 2022 - the day after what would have been Janelle's 11th birthday. And just a few short weeks before Janelle celebrates her 10 year Angelversary! We want to make this year's fundraising efforts our best effort ever!!
