On my 37th birthday, I’m pleased to announce that this year also marks 10 years of running a graphic design business full-time.

In the past decade, I’ve been incredibly privileged and blessed to grow my business and client roster, landing in a sweet spot of working with mission-driven non-profits and educational institutions while keeping my hand in the publishing industry, a long-time love.

While I love wearing multiple hats, there are some I don’t wear as well as others. That’s where the value of my teammates and contractors comes in ten-fold. Together, we pull from our strengths to collaborate and produce better results for our clients. Today, the business is far beyond just me of “Elisign Design” and now truly is a design collective.

Grinstead Design Collective, Ltd. is a growing group of individuals coming together as a design collective to address our clients’ visual communication challenges in a cohesive way. We leverage specialized talents to match the need of each project. Through our design, we seek to create solutions that communicate effectively to:

Celebrating three full years running my own design business today. 35 clients and 582 (!) projects later, I'm so grateful to do what I love and continue to be challenged and grow through it. I'm incredibly blessed with the clients I have, the people I work with to make it happen, and how God continues to show His gracious provision through it all. Also, gratitude to my husband who walks alongside me and processes my work life with me!

Working with Ideas42 over the past few months has been a privilege. They just released their whitepaper that we collaborated on, and it is making the rounds. Lots of thoughtful ideas about combating poverty in this. Take a look at the press and then the paper in the link at the end of the article!

The fastest way to fight poverty is to redirect money from higher-income to lower-income people. In the meantime, behavioral scientists have some tips on how the present system can do a better job of helping the poor.
