Dot Dotson, a prominent Eugene photographer, opened his first camera store and photo lab in 1931. A pioneer in the photo finishing industry, Dot was among the first to process color film. Eighty five years later, the Dotson family is still carrying on Dot's tradition of quality photo finishing, friendly personal service and expert photographic advice. thusiasts still depend on Dot Dotson's commitment to quality photofinishing, just as they have for over eight decades. We offer processing of color and black & white film, 35mm and 120 formats, slide film (E-6), and most out-dated films (including APS, 110, 126). In addition to traditional film, we also welcome your digital files. You can get anything from a miniature locket size to a giant 44" x 10 foot mural. You can even get a woven tapestry, as well as a huge variety of gifts items. Save your memories of your video and audio recordings from most mediums to CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, or thumb drive. Many other services are available. We offer scanning of film, prints, and artwork. Complete the look with custom matting and framing. Lighting equipment, used gear, and photo accessories are also available.

I've passed this rock by Dotson's for many years and have always wondered what it is commemorating...and why E. A. Mock and Sons was important enough for a plaque and place (obscure though it is...) on 17th St. A quick Google search came up with this...
