Cognitopia

Cognitopia Life management apps for people who see the world a little differently. That team-connected approach is a key aspect of Cognitopia.
(1)

The Cognitopia Platform is a suite of web-based self-management applications for students with cognitive disabilities such as autism, intellectual disabilities, TBI, or learning disabilities. It is being developed with federal grant funding through the US Department of Education's Institute for Education Sciences and the Department of Health and Human Services' Administration on Community Living.

The Cognitopia Platform is focused on development of self-management applications that help people manage daily life, school, or work as independently as possible while facilitating the efforts of teachers, parents, caregivers, therapists, and others in support roles. The apps are web-based, so are available on any device and operating system, and any interaction is instantly available to other team members. This creates a kind of virtual teaching and support functionality while keeping the focus on fostering self-direction. We currently have four applications in active development: Goal Guide, MyLife, Routines, and ScanDo. Two others are in the pipeline and being developed as time and funding permit: Picture Planner, and HealthChecker.
