Today, NextStep Recycling celebrated two incredible people who support our mission and help make everything we do possible! 🧡

Rick Tromel is celebrating an amazing 20 years of volunteering with NextStep! A retired rocket scientist—yes, an actual rocket scientist—Rick continues to give his time and talents to help our community, protect the environment, and support others in achieving their goals. 🚀

We also celebrated the birthday of our one and only Executive Director, Jessica Ahrenholtz! Her passion, leadership, and huge heart reach far beyond NextStep, and we are incredibly grateful for everything she does.

Rick and Jessica, we are so lucky to have you both on our team. Congratulations on 20 amazing years, Rick—and happiest of birthdays to Jessica! 🎉🎂

"Simply Youth Institute would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Jessica Ahrenholtz, Executive Director of NextStep Recycling, for donating 10 laptops to our SAGACITY students.

At Everyone Village, help, hope, and opportunity come together to create a path forward for individuals experiencing homelessness. Their incredible team provides more than transitional housing—they provide community, support, resources, and the opportunity to build a brighter future.

At NextStep Recycling, we are proud to partner with Everyone Village through our grant-funded technology programs by providing desktop computers for residents. These computers give individuals access to job searches, online education, resume building, workforce training, and the tools they need to take the next step toward independence.

Technology isn't just about computers—it's about opportunity.

Together, we're proving that when nonprofits collaborate, we can remove barriers, restore hope, and create lasting change.

It is always fantastic to see two pillars of the Eugene community team up!

NextStep's community-driven mission continuously makes a massive impact. NextStep donation of powered PA speakers will certainly be put to great use at the Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce events.

NextStep's non-profit ReUse Store at 987 Garfield St. in Eugene (open Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) offers a fantastic selection of refurbished electronics. Every purchase made at the ReUse store directly supports education and job-training programs in the local community.
