👋 Your About page isn't really about you. It's where a visitor decides whether you're the right fit for them.
Most About pages get skipped over for a few avoidable reasons:
- Stock photos instead of real images of your team and your customers, which signals the opposite of approachable
- Generic phrasing like "committed to excellence," when a short story that shows it would do the work instead
- A long origin story the audience doesn't need, when what they want is proof you understand their problem
- No clear next step at the bottom, so the interest you just earned goes nowhere
Our guide walks through what to actually put on the page: business and team bios, social proof, contact info, a specific call to action, and the kind of imagery that builds trust. We also break down two real About pages that get it right and explain why they work.
It comes down to two questions. What makes you unique, and what matters to your audience?
