With the 4th of July coming up, I've got a genuine question...

Why do so many people in the United States not know:

• When our country was founded?
• What war was fought to create this nation?
• Who we fought to gain our independence?
• The name of the king we were fighting against?
• Why we celebrate the 4th of July in the first place?

I'm not asking to argue politics. I'm genuinely curious. These are some of the most basic parts of our nation's history, yet it seems like many Americans were either never taught them or have simply forgotten.

I also wonder if that's part of the reason fewer people stand up for this country today. If you don't know the sacrifices that were made, the ideals that were fought for, or why our independence mattered, it's much harder to appreciate and defend what you have.

You cannot fight for what you do not realize you have.
How many of these questions can you answer without looking them up?

If anybody got some short video clips from around Rayne or nearby towns and don’t mind me using them for the “Rain in Rayne” music video, send them my way.

Looking for stuff like BBQs, football games, rain, flooded roads, cruising, gatherings, town shots, or just random clips around town.

Also looking for clips from Eunice, Crowley, Scott, Lafayette, Youngsville, Lake Charles, Sulphur, and surrounding areas.
I’m slowly shooting clips and putting it all together. Any help is appreciated.

Sometimes facing your demons means making friends with them.
Not because they’re good… but because fighting yourself every single day gets exhausting.
At some point you stop pretending they don’t exist, learn what created them, and turn that pain into something that walks beside you instead of destroying you.

Hey, I made a hometown anthem called “It Can Rain in Rayne” built around the old saying:
“It can rain in Rayne, it can rain in Crowley, but it can’t Crowley in Rayne.”

The track was created using AI-assisted production, mainly as a fun local hype song for football edits, festivals, truck videos, and hometown content. Y’all are welcome to use it however you want, just credit Tru Fury if it gets posted anywhere.

Also, if anybody local is interested in actually recording or performing a real version of the song, I’m completely open to that too.

Tru Fury Radio Podcast is on hold before launch.

The project is at a standstill while I focus on getting my property handled and the equipment I need. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to get the support needed to move forward right now, so this has to take priority.

It’s going to be a while before I can continue, but the project isn’t going anywhere.

When things are handled, it’ll move forward.
