First impressions happen on your website homepage, make sure you're not doing any of these things:

1. Centering ALL of the text on your homepage - it's hard to read and not the most user friendly. It can work in some cases, but for large chunks of text, stick to left-aligned.

2. Using script fonts for body content - this makes text way too hard to read. Stick to using script fonts as an accent to your design.

3. Using too many fonts - the best way to make your website look professional is by sticking to less than 5 font styles. Try a combination of serif, sans-serif and script fonts.

Small but Mighty Tip #2 — SEO for Your Showit Images 📸✨

One of the easiest ways to boost your website’s search ranking?
👉 Name your images and fill out your alt text before you hit publish.

Why it matters:

Search engines read your image file names and alt text.

“IMG_8473.jpg” tells Google nothing about your business.

“atlanta-brand-photographer.jpg” tells Google exactly what’s in the image and who might be searching for it.

Here’s how to do it:
1️⃣ Rename your image files before uploading to Showit. (if you want to skip this step for now you can still rename your image title in Showit)

Use descriptive keywords and hyphens.

Example: atlanta-brand-photographer.jpg instead of generic-file-name.jpg
2️⃣ Fill in the alt text field inside Showit.

Describe what’s in the image in a natural way.

Example: “Image of a personal brand photography session in Atlanta, featuring a female entrepreneur in a bright workspace.”

💡 Pro Tip: Use your keywords naturally—write for humans first, search engines second.
