One of the greatest moments in our nations history was the achievement of landing people on the moon and bringing them back to earth safely. This was the culmination of what has become known as the space race.

In April 1970, three men set out on what was to be the third such moon landing. All seemed to be going well, until an explosion in an oxygen tank crippled their spacecraft. Suddenly, the three astronauts found themselves close to 200,000 miles away from home and still heading towards the moon, in a vehicle that could now not support life for more than about two hours. This crew was in serious trouble.

Yet in spite of the odds, the men of Mission Control, the astronauts, and people around the world pulled together to turn what was almost certain to be a catastrophe, into what has become known as NASA’s finest hour. This is an incredible story of big dreams, team work, leadership, ingenuity, and most of all, the favor of God.

Join Pastor and trainer Matt Vollbrecht of TTJ, Pastor/trainer Kliph of Stur It Up, and retired science teacher Paul Shotz, as they discuss in detail this awesome story, as well as the future of human space exploration.

Learn how to create quick and easy slideshows on your iPhone/iPad using the Photos app. Add your favorite photos and videos, then choose a theme and a music track. Even share your masterpiece on the big screen with AirPlay and Apple TV.

Note that this tech tip was created using the Voiceover screen reader for the blind and visually impaired, but sighted users can benefit from it too. Enjoy.:)

Join us for our annual Titanic discussion and tribute this Monday, April 8, 2024 at 7PM Eastern Time. Matt Vollbrecht of TTJ, author of, “Titanic - The Most Complete Story Ever Told”, along with his family and a panel including trainer Kliph of Stur It Up, retired science teacher and Titanic expert Paul Shotz, and Titanic expert Landon Defibaugh of Allegheny College of Maryland, will discuss and present facts, photos, period music, and a timeline of events, while sipping tea. They’ll also discuss the chilling resemblance to the Titanic, of the recent Ocean Gate Titan implosion last summer.

What can you do to prepare? Come with questions. Please help shape the evening and the discussion, by thinking ahead of time about a few questions you’d like to ask. Want to know why there were not enough lifeboats, if third class passengers were really trapped below as rumors have suggested, if the fire in the ship played a part in the sinking, who was at fault, or anything else?
