2019 āž”ļø 2026

Sometimes it’s good to look back.

The first piece was created back in 2019. The second? I just finished it in 2026.

Seven years separate these two pieces, and looking at them side by side, I can finally see how much I’ve grown—not just as an artist, but as a storyteller.

Back then, I was still searching for my style. I experimented with different techniques, different looks, and different ways to tell a visual joke. Every drawing taught me something, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.

Today, I can honestly say I think I’ve found my style.

Bold lines. Flat colors. Pop culture. Horror. Puns. A little bit of absurdity. Artwork that hopefully makes you stop, smile, laugh, and maybe even groan at the joke.

Will my style change from piece to piece? Absolutely. Every subject calls for something a little different. But when it comes to the heart of my work, this is me. This is the style that feels the most natural, the most authentic, and the most ā€œPND Studios.ā€

Trust the process. Keep creating. Keep learning. One drawing at a time, you’ll eventually find your own voice.

I’m glad I finally found mine.

Now, let’s take a look at my newest finished piece… Edgar Allan Poe as Po from the Teletubbies. Or as I like to call it… Poe as Po. Nevermore. šŸ¦šŸ“ššŸ˜‚

Another piece of Pittsburgh has officially made its way into the PND Studios collection.

HEINZ SIGHT IS 20/20. šŸ‘€šŸ…

You can’t really talk Pittsburgh without eventually running into Heinz. So naturally, I had to take that little piece of Yinzer history and turn it into something of my own.

Neon glow, Pittsburgh skyline tucked into the background, that unmistakable ketchup bottle looming overhead—and one terrible pun holding the whole thing together.

Because apparently my artistic process is now: See Pittsburgh landmark. Make art. Add dad joke. Repeat.

And this one isn’t staying just an illustration.

It’ll soon be available as a sticker, acrylic pin, and keychain!

Heinz Sight is 20/20.

I’ll see myself dahn the steps. šŸ˜‚

Coming soon from PND Studios!

Finished up another new design tonight — HOME SWEET CHARM CITY. šŸ¦€šŸŒƒ
Baltimore has always had a certain kind of beauty to it. Not the polished, postcard kind. The kind with neon glowing in the night, old industrial bones, harbor air, rowhouse attitude, and enough personality to punch you in the mouth and offer you an Old Bay-covered crab afterward.
So I wanted to make something that felt like Baltimore at night — that old-school neon sign glow hanging over the city skyline, with a little crab down below because, well… Maryland law probably requires it.
ā€œHome Sweet Charm City, Hon.ā€
A little gritty. A little retro. A whole lotta Baltimore.
This one will be joining the growing pile of new PND Studios art I’ve been cranking out lately. More coming soon.

āø»

There’s something strangely beautiful about a raccoon digging through a trash can at 2 a.m.

Society looks at it and sees garbage. The raccoon sees opportunity.

That’s kind of the point.

Just finished up a brand-new piece called ā€œI May Be Trash… But I’m Someone’s Treasure.ā€ Equal parts dark humor, a little self-deprecation, and a reminder that even the things people overlook can mean the world to someone else.

I think we’ve all felt like the raccoon at one point or another. A little beat up. A little tired. Just trying to make the best of what life throws at us. But to someone, you’re priceless.

This little trash panda will be joining the PND Studios lineup as an acrylic pin, sticker, and keychain. I can’t wait to get these made and out into the wild.

After all… one person’s trash is another person’s treasure.

This week’s PND Studio Update is not about art, conventions, films, or whatever project is currently fighting for space inside my head.

This episode is entirely dedicated to my friend, Jim Krut.

I first met Jim years ago when he portrayed Dracula at the GAR Hall in Gettysburg. From there, we became friends through the acting and convention communities. Jim was an actor, a veteran, the unforgettable helicopter zombie from George A. Romero’s Dawn of the Dead—but those credits only tell part of his story.

Jim was kind, funny, genuine, and completely one of a kind. He was a class act who left an impression everywhere he went, and the acting and horror communities will not be the same without him.

This video is my way of remembering Jim, sharing a few memories, and saying goodbye to a friend who will be deeply missed.

Rest easy, Jim. Thank you for the friendship, the memories, and all the lives you touched.

In memory of Jim Krut.
