OK so people say I need to toot my own horn once in a while; in my capacity as Marketing Manager for Villa of Hope, this was a very good year for me, and the Villa, at the American Marketing Association Pinnacle awards. We took home awards for branding, for our major fundraising campaign, and for our new website design; and then a wonderful surprise was also winning Marketer of the Year in the nonprofit category.

In writing the text for this annual report, I got the chance to know and interview an extraordinary young man! And I have always said, my favorite type of projects are annual reports. There is so much room for visual creative, and stretching the limits of what people perceive an annual report should be. I’m very lucky to have Villa of Hope as my client (and current employer) that gives me that flexibility!

After 3 years at Villa of Hope, this was an unexpected surprise!

At last night’s American Marketing Association Pinnacle Awards, the Villa took home the trophy in the non-profit collateral category, for our 75th Anniversary Annual Report!
