Recently, we had the opportunity to complete a prime-power generator project for a privately owned, off-grid island in the San Juans. While every generator project is unique, this was very similar to a project we did in Ketchikan, AK a few years back. To meet our client’s needs, a skid-mounted 100kW Kohler diesel generator was installed (and later shipped) in a custom shipping container complete with a custom-made critical grade muffler.

It has been our pleasure working with you on this project, Greg! Also a special thanks to Lynden Simple Box Storage, Bode's Precast, Smith Mechanical, and Kohler Power - Generators for your assistance in making this job possible.

If you have seen the weather forecasts recently, undoubtedly you have noticed a winter storm front approaching the Pacific Northwest. The storm will be ushering in below-freezing temperatures, snow, and wind. Often, weather like this will cause power outages. We would like to encourage you to prepare by checking the oil of your generator and doing a simulated transfer test to ensure that your generator will run in the event of a power outage. If you require assistance performing a transfer test, please call us and we can walk you through it. If the generator is covered with snow, please make sure that the air intake and exhaust ends of the unit are clear.

Please note that if you have a problem with your generator before, during, or after the storm, that we will do our very best to assist you as quickly as possible.

In celebration of Christmas and the New Year, TSE Power Solutions will be closed Wednesday, December 25th and Wednesday, January 1st. However, we will be open until noon on December 24th and December 31st. As always, we will have an on-call technician available should you need us.

TSE Power Solutions will be closed in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th, but we will be back in the office on Monday, December 2nd. We have been working on some larger residential projects recently which included this 80kw Kohler diesel generator for a home in the Chuckanut area. While most air-cooled and smaller (under 38kw) liquid-cooled generator installations can be done in one day, projects like this do come together in stages. Yesterday, we set this unit with the assistance of Bode's Precast.

This 70kW Generac generator and (2) 200A ATS's were installed last week in the East Bellingham area. It is pretty rare for a residence to require a generator of this size, but this large, all-electric home did.
