Exactly 150 years ago in a secluded attic workshop in Boston, Alexander Graham Bell spoke these famous words, marking the first successful transmission of human speech over a wire. The world of communication was never the same!

A lot has changed since March 10, 1876. Here at Fitchburg Fiber, we are working hard every day to lay down the next generation of connectivity, but bringing in the new doesn't mean we have to leave the past behind.

Did you know that classic rotary dial and vintage analog phones still work flawlessly on our modern fiber network? Fitchburg Fiber's "landline" phone service can be used by anyone with an internet connection, not just Fitchburg Fiber internet customers.

Antique phones newly connected this March will enjoy service for just $18.76/month. Drop us a line to get that old Bell ringing again!

Five years in and we're just getting started!

At our CATALYST party on December 15th, we announced that we're converting to a cooperative so the community can have a real stake in what we're building.

We're preparing to launch a cell phone service under the new Old Growth Cooperative, and are currently taking pre-signups for the pilot program, which we're aiming to launch in the Spring.

This past Monday night over a hundred people from Fitchburg and beyond came out to celebrate five years of Fitchburg Fiber. We can't thank you enough for the amount of support and love we have received. We are truly so blessed to spend such an awesome evening with our community. The best part: we're just getting started!

Over the past year we have worked tirelessly to create our new venture: the Old Growth Cooperative, which we believe will launch us into the future through recapture and reinvestment of our community's spent wealth. You can watch the recap video linked in the post!
