As of Tuesday 06/18/2024, CDK Global, the nation's leading SaaS in the automotive dealership industry, has been rendered completely offline as all servers were shut down in result of a cyberattack. This incident has left over 15,000 auto dealerships virtually at a standstill, as there are very few workarounds to this situation.
Not only does this event affect revenue and productivity, but it also proposes a MASSIVE security risk. Not only is it the risk of the malware imposed on CDK making its way to the dealership, but there will also be cyber threats lurking around every corner ready to take advantage of a vulnerable business.
