As a racer myself, I can safely say we all have a race or two that means just a little more to us.

But for some, there’s that one race that means a whole lot more.

And for Greg “Hollywood” Walters, that race is the one held every year to celebrate and remember his dad, Doug Walters.

Tonight, Hollywood did it again, picking up his 9th Doug Walters Memorial win.

Since opening Courage Graphics, the entire Walters team has trusted us with their wraps. And while that’s pretty damn cool for me, this one goes beyond business.

When I got into racing, I was with the Puncochars and by proxy the Walters group and grew up a fan (like a lot of us did) So yeah, getting to wrap their race cars today is pretty damn cool. But even if I didn’t, watching nights like tonight - and the eight times before it, is what makes this sport so special.

In lineup tonight, I gave you the head nod. After the race, I got to tell you how damn proud I was of you.

Nine times you’ve won the race carrying your dad’s name. That’s something nobody can ever take away from you.

And I know there was at least one other guy smiling a little brighter than all of us tonight.

Congratulations, Hollywood.

We had the opportunity to work with River City Speedway for their first ever race benefiting Make-A-Wish Oregon!

We provided banners, event stickers, winner checks, and the grand total check for the event.

A huge shoutout to everyone involved for coming together and raising an incredible $11,218.25 for Make-A-Wish!

It sounds like this is just the beginning of what will become an annual event, and we’d be more than happy to be a part of it again next year! 🏁

One thing I normally struggle to do is keep yall updated on the things we have been working on! A lot of it does not make it to Facebook, but imma try to get some of it posted up!

One of the newer things we have been busy with are Banners! We have made a bunch of banners this year for tracks, racers, businesses and more.

Reminder: Courage Graphics will be covering the entry fees for the first 20 first responders through the gate for this event!

If you know a first responder, say thank you. Then bring them out to the dirt track at Sunset Speedway.

Headlining this Saturday Night. The Raven 50.

What drivers are committed to take on the 50 lap challenge around the quarter-mile with $500 on the line to the winner? Share a pic of your racecar and let us and all the race fans know your Banks Bound for the Raven 50.

Thank you to Raven Hauling for not only being the title sponsor of the Open 4cyl, but also the largest race for the season in the division this Saturday Night. Owner operator Chris Pearson has been a crucial partner in support to help for a class that has been the fastest growing for the Bullring this year.

We have seen multiple racers in the class with multi-hour drives to join us throughout the summer, and expect a few more over this upcoming Big Event. We thank them for their commitment in trying out an incredible Bullring for this race division.

Fans planning to join us. Gates will open at 4pm with racing scheduled for 6pm.

Joining the Raven Hauling Open 4cyl is scheduled to be IMCA Modifieds, Sunset Dwarfs, Limited Late Models, and Micro Restricteds.

The Monster Truck “Zombie Tracker” will also be on site offering rides.

This Event takes place during our 6th Annual First Responders Night. With all first responders getting a $5 General Admission Special Price with proper ID at the front gate. The First 20 First Responders will have their admission covered courtesy of our friends at Courage Graphics.

We can’t wait to see you all at the Bullring.
