13 years ago today, sitting in the rain at 6AM outside our local AT&T Wireless store: https://www.thestreet.com/video/june-29-2007-apple-releases-the-iphone, to which Steve Ballmer said the iPhone had "no chance" of taking over the SmartPhone market.

Today, everything from the way we work, communicate, shop, travel, manage our finances, and experience entertainment can be done through a smartphone. But until 2007, this wasn't the case.

A few pictures from our company outing to a Cubs game. It was a beautiful day, and a ton of fun (too bad the Cubbies couldn't pull out the win).

Congratulations to the ICOMM Pony League Baseball team, who had a pretty good opening weekend, coming away with a 1-1 record, and a great game on Sunday, with the team bringing home a 14-4 victory, with excellent plays by all members of the team! Plus, they turned a 6-7 double play! Not something you see every day, especially at a youth game! Heads-up thinking; what a great team!

Interesting article in Bloomberg News on Parental Leave in the US.

We at ICOMM our proud of our parental leave program. In the past 3 years, a number of our staff have used it, with 3 months of paid leave (even for the adoption of a newborn). It's a shame that more companies don't embrace this sort of policy. Besides simply treating our staff like actual human beings, such a policy engenders trust and commitment, not just from those who directly benefit from the policy, but also from our staff in general as they see we really do care about our "human resources".
