07/05/2026
In exactly one week, I’ll be 39. I always take the time to reflect around my birthday.
If you know me, you know I don’t talk about stuff until I feel I have a handle on it, but 2026 started in a way I never expected. In the middle of indoor track season, I was hospitalized with fluid on my brain after weeks of vision, migraines, and hearing issues that sat me down days before Indoor Nationals.
Slowing down showed me what (and who) really matters. I am as loyal as they come and I pour my all into everything I do, sometimes at my own expense, but lately I’ve been healing, resetting, and prioritizing my family and those that have genuinely been there for me, no strings attached. I was stuck in a loop of just creating at a high clip. I had no time to truly create from the heart, just out here checking boxes chile 😩.
There’s so much work I haven’t shared. Crazy part is most of what I’m about to share over the next seven days was created during all of this, where everything was blurry to me in the moment. Through it all, I found a new love for golf photography. It’s so peaceful and allows a lot of space to be creative. S/O to April D. Taylor for keeping me on the green. Second, I truly appreciate Joe Lee, CHERYL LEE-POW DACBSP, CCSP, ART, Jazmin - Coach by day, Chef by night , Comedian-Always, briashotthat, and the Bullis Track family for showing real support and making sure I got through the season. Lastly, I was reminded that no matter how many special moments I capture for everybody else family, time with my family matters most. I was grateful to get back in the studio with my girl while she’s home and capture four family graduates (GiGi, Zoe, Sakina Scott-Dailey, and London).
I’ll continue sharing special moments for the next 7 days, but 39, here I come! ♋️
