Proud to Help Tell the Nestlé Purina Fort Dodge Story
It’s exciting to see the continued investment Nestlé Purina is making in Fort Dodge — including the $175 million expansion, 50 new jobs, and the addition of Fancy Feast Gems production.
Spin Markket + Digital has been proud to work with the Nestlé Purina Fort Dodge team on projects that help tell the story of the people, careers, investment, and impact behind this facility.
Last year, we had the opportunity to help celebrate an incredible milestone — 50 years of Nestlé Purina in Fort Dodge — including producing a video that captured the history of the facility, its employees, and its importance to our region.
What makes that project especially valuable is that the story continues to work long after the anniversary celebration. The video has become an asset that can support public relations, recruitment and hiring, workforce development, and community awareness.
That is what we believe great storytelling should do: celebrate where you've been while helping communicate where you're going.
Congratulations to Nestlé Purina and everyone involved in this next chapter of growth in Fort Dodge. We are proud to have played a part in telling the story.
Mayor Dave Flattery, Growth Alliance CEO Astra Ferris, and City of Fort Dodge Government of Fort Dodge Chief Development Officer Chad Schaeffer spent a full day at Nestlé Purina North American headquarters in St. Louis, meeting with operational leadership, marketing staff, and the team guiding the expansion underway here at home.
A few things we learned: roughly one billion cans of Friskies are produced each year at the Fifth Avenue South plant, and the $175 million expansion will make Fort Dodge the first location in North America to produce Fancy Feast Gems, adding 50 net new jobs.
There is no substitute for time spent face-to-face with the companies investing in our region.
