Tyler Burns Obituary and Memorial Service Information:
Tyler Linn Burns 65, of Brandon, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023, of complications due to bladder cancer. He was preceded in death by his father, Maynard L. Burns. He is survived by his mother, Helen L. Burns, wife, Dr. Merryl S. Koplo, daughter, Kristen T. Burns, brother and sister-in-law Tim and Jenny Burns, aunt and uncle Beverly and David Styers and many cousins, all of whom he adored.
Tyler was born on November 30, 1957 in Circleville, OH, and graduated from Circleville High School in 1976. He was a student at Ohio State University for a period of time before going to work at Dupont for six years. He then moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL and started his own company, Complete Computer Concepts, as an IT Specialist. He set up eight banks from the ground up, took care of hundreds of clients over the years, and he loved every minute of what he did. In 2018, Tyler and Merryl relocated to Brandon, FL in the Tampa Bay area, and happily lived there together until his passing.
Tyler was a kind and thoughtful person, he loved helping people in any way he could and was instantly liked by everyone he met. He had an infectious sense of humor and the ability to always make people laugh. He felt there was always something to learn from whomever crossed his path in life, and always had a smile and a kind word for them. He was in touch on Facebook with many of his high school friends through the years as well as so many others, and his friends and family always looked forward to the funny memes that he would frequently post to make everyone laugh.
Besides being a people lover, Tyler was an animal lover, a plant lover and a bird lover. He gave names to each and every bird that frequented the bird feeders and knew each one of them by their individual chirps. He loved his daughter, Kristen, more than words can say. He loved his two dogs, Queso and Matty. He met his best friend and wife, Merryl, in 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They traveled to Ireland three times together and loved it there, they loved to frequent their favorite Irish pubs, and shared over twelve wonderful years together filled with laughter, joy and fun. Tyler will be missed by so many but our wonderful memories of him will forever make us smile.
The Memorial Service and Interment will be held at the Floral Hills Cemetary (now known as Heavenly Hills) in Circleville, OH at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. There will be a Bereavement Luncheon at the Trinity Lutheran Church Noecher Hall immediately following the Memorial Service.
