Hurricanes get the headlines, but the disasters that actually take businesses down are boring: a burst pipe, a power outage, a construction crew hitting the wrong cable.

Item 2 on the checklist: if your office was unusable tomorrow, could your team log in securely from anywhere and keep serving clients? Or does revenue stop until the landlord calls back?

Having backups and having backups that work are two very different things, and most businesses find out the difference at the worst possible moment.

Think about what's actually in there: your invoices, your client files, your payroll records. Now ask how many days of that you could lose and still make Friday's deadlines.

A backup you've never tested is a hope, not a plan. Item 1 on the checklist: run a test restore this week, while nothing is on fire. If you don't know how, or the answer makes you nervous, that's exactly what we're here for.
