Thankfully updating all my consoles has gotten so much easier. I used to dread the process . Update to 8.2.0.187 was a breeze. Hopefully my Rivage and RPIO goes as smoothly. I still won't update right before a show, but now is summer in Florida so I have time to check things out before any consoles go anywhere.

What are thoughts on upgrading my E6L to E6LX? Avid have a $15K discount right now. My console only works about 6 times a year, and no Artist engineer has questioned my system as it stands. Which is a 32D with 144 engine.
Is this upgrade more of a way for them to fix existing issues in the old engine dependability? I do one offs for national acts so it's not a touring console, always around 64 inputs 32 outputs plus the Waves , never additional DSP requests.

Well, obviously I'm still in business since an Avid S6L is sitting in my office. Also thanks to the super smart guy who figured out to make the FOH waves server rack support the console. I'll know if you steal that idea! First one in rental inventory now, and available for scheduled shop time should you need an hour or two to check your tour file. Or, should your show require the newest ridiculously priced gadget!

I am fortunate enough to have a very long relationship with Calvary Chapel and they were gracious enough to involve me in several events this year, culminating in the fantastic drive thru Celebration of Peace. Always a pleasure to serve the excellent people here, and they always do amazing events. A week of load in, 2 weekends of events , and all of it a pleasure. Thank you to Richard and Gerard for involving me with their awesome crew!

Every time I go to Vizcaya, I say it's my last. Total chaos for a 3 hour rush load in, 120 wired and wireless fixtures. acrylic string lights, 10 stagehands......once it's up it doesn't seem so bad. Nothing is easy at this place. Once it's up, I'm ready for the next one....I forget easily...

It doesn't seem like it , but this is the 19th or 20th year I have had the pleasure of serving Nancy Stewart and Bern Ryan at Palm Beach Garlic Festival. What a great show and crowd this year. Congratulations to them on their 20th anniversary!
