The following positions are available as Employee and/or Contractor:
Software Developer/Engineer with at least two (2) years of experience. The developer will actively participate in all phases of our software development projects: Including requirements definition, analysis, design, coding, defects analysis, testing, implementation, fielding, documentation, and training. Good communication skills are essential as this position will work closely with client representatives to identify and prototype new applications and extensions of current designs. Ability to learn new skills required to support specialized systems. We will train candidates.
Software Development candidate assists in implementing project scope, requirements, and schedules to include project status analysis. Evaluates, redesigns, and modifies existing program logic to extend system capabilities or performance. Candidate will attend weekly technical review meetings. Candidate must have experience with Agile software development frameworks. Completes coding, testing, and documentation on assigned systems or modules. The developer must provide knowledge in support of the following areas:
Proficiency in C++, C #,, nd/or Java
Work with low level programming languages for embedded controllers
Embedded Application development and troubleshooting
Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) to maintain a Configuration Management (CM) baseline
Knowledge of Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) and Forward Observer System (FOS) using MIL-STD-6017 Variable Message Format (VMF)
Experience supporting the production and fielding of fire control components
Low-level firmware/FPGA programming
Use and customization of DI2E Dev Tools, such as Jira, and Git
Technical documentation development experience
CMMI Knowledge
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint
The candidates will be working in a team environment with other software developers to provide Software Support of military systems. The candidate will conduct unit testing, system integration testing, resolution of software defects and implementation of communication interfaces to embedded devices.
Requires Bachelor and/or Master’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
Required Environments: Proficiency in Linux/Windows Operating systems.
Required Lifecycle Support Skills: Proficiency in C++, C #, Java, low-level programming, Object-Oriented Programming, embedded application development, Agile development, DI2E Dev Tools, System Testing, fielding, and troubleshooting. Must be able to work in a team environment.
Required Status: Candidates must be able to pass background checks for security clearance, Work to be performed at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Telework expected during COVID 19 period.
Plus: Software development experience for direct-fire fire control systems including sighting and sensor systems, firing circuits, stabilization, and ballistics. Networking Communications (Client/Server/Sockets/Multi-threading). Active Secret Security Clearance.
