This week, my brother Douglas Hoang and I had the opportunity to attend eBay Connect 2026 in San Jose, California.

Most days, we’re usually in the warehouse processing , shipping orders or hosting eBay Live shows.

This was a chance to spend time with the teams build the tools behind the scenes, learn what is coming next, and connect with the developers and solutions providers within the eBay ecosystem.

As Patturn continues to grow, these conversations are becoming more and more important. The better where we understand the platform is headed, the better we can build for our partners and customers.

Always appreciate the eBay Team for hosting us and putting together a great event.

Looking forward to what’s next. Cheers 🍻

This week was a little bit of everything at Patturn.

Started off by getting orders loaded onto a United States Postal Service truck.

Later, the team spent some time expanding our pallet storage in the warehouse.

Lastly, I wrapped it up by talking with eBay sellers on Kathy Terrill community call about sourcing inventory.

One of things that I enjoy the most about the business is that no two days are the same.

Some days, you’re building warehouse racks. Other days, you’re sharing what you’ve learned in the business.

One thing that I’ve leaned about running a business at Patturn is that the job description changed by the hour.

You might start off the day by moving pallets, spend the afternoon helping to pick and process orders, jump onto eBay Live Selling, and somehow end the day dealing with something completely unrelated to your business.

Honestly, it’s never a boring day.

Stay until the end of the video, you’ll see what I mean. 😂

One part of Patturn that isn’t highlighted often is our business.

A lot of people know us from eBay, live selling, or the weekly warehouse videos.

A big part of what we do happens behind the scenes with the brands we partner with.

For some partners, we’re not just selling product. We’re managing the entire strategy.

That could mean processing returns, cataloging inventory, managing multiple marketplaces, running branded eBay Live events, creating markdown strategies, or deciding when makes the most sense.

Every brand is different, so every strategy is different.

We’ve never believed there was a one-size fits all approach to .

Our goal is to build solution that works for the brand and maximizes recovery.

The real win isn’t selling the next batch of . It’s becoming the partner a brand trust with the next hundred.

Stopped by Authentic Warehouse this week and got the chance to catch up with Daniel Parodi.

One thing I’ve learned over the years in and is that there isn’t a single way to build a business within this industry.

At Patturn, we built our technology solution around resale and live selling. Daniel and his team built retail stores that move returns and excess inventory directly to customers.

How do you help brands recover value from returned and excess inventory while making sure it ends up in the right channels?

That’s what makes this industry interesting. There are many ways to win.

Also enjoyed learning more about Evolve Shows, which Daniel co-founded. The trade show is focused on connecting buyers with inventory suppliers across returns, liquidations, factory cancellations, apparel, footwear, home goods and more.

The next event will be August 9-11 in Las Vegas. I will drop a link to the event in the comments.

Some days, I’m in front of my computer the whole day.

Other days, I’m unloading trucks, hopping into eBay Live to Live Sell, moving inventory across the warehouse, and helping wherever needed.

That’s one of the mainly things I enjoy about the industry. No two days look exactly alike.

There is always inventory coming in, orders going out, and something that needs to be done to keep operations flowing smoothly.

Just another day at Patturn.

One of the questions I get asked the most is:

“Where do you source your inventory?” 🤔

The answer is probably less exciting than people expect.

Everywhere.

Over the years, we’ve purchased from retailers, brands, liquidators, jobbers, wholesalers, marketplaces, bin stores, and plenty of people in between.

I’ve never believed there’s is one magical source that has all of the best inventory.

Most of the opportunity comes from relationships, which was honestly echoed in my recent conservation with Matthew Leavell from BuyLow Warehouse and Jacques Stambouli from Wholesale Liquidation Case packs, Pallets & Truckloads at ASD Market Week.

The people who consistently find good inventory aren’t always the folks with the biggest budgets. They’re usually the ones willing to pick up the phone, show up to trade shows, stay in touch and have conversations consistently.

There’s opportunity everywhere if you’re willing to look for it. (Quoting my good friend Damian P***k.

It’s been true since our first truckload, and it’s still true today.

It’s a warehouse floor kind of week.

Moving boxes, picking orders, packing shipmentsc and trying to work around the weather this week at HQ.

It’s been raining nonstop this week, so we had to quickly improvise a system to hand off packages to USPS without everything getting soaked.

Not a part of the original plan, but that’s the reality of operations. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No matter what’s going on outside, the operation needs to keep moving.

Went back to for Mavs Pitch, a business pitch completion for students.

It’s a great opportunity for students to pitch their business venture and potentially get some funding.

Back in 2019, while finishing up my MBA at , I competed in the same competition pitching a very early version of .

At this time, my brothers and I were still trying to figure things out and honestly, just looking for a sign that we were headed in the right direction.

We ended getting funded and that gave us the confidence to keep pushing and expand on the business even further.

It’s a full circle moment being able to come back this year as a judge for the competition. You see students in the exact position, taking a chance on an idea and hoping someone else believes in it too.

Big shoutout for continuing to create opportunities for students and future.

Also great serving as a judge alongside,

Katie Carlson, a senior VP of Amegy Bank.
Leslie Ford, MBA, SPHR, the founder of Ofi Chito.
LaTasha Taylor Starr, the founder of ESTe²M Builders.
Dr. Lori Ramirez, a professor at UTA.

Always good being a room with people who genuinely want to see others succeed.
